Historic Mater Dei Chapel, built in 1927, is set on a private and picturesque rural property close to Camden.
Mater Dei Chapel seats 200 people in comfort and also has a choir loft. The high arched ceiling of the chapel gently lit by sunlight through the stained glass windows is a distinctive feature of this building of yesteryear. Attached brick archways leading away from the chapel form an ideal backdrop for photos, as do the extensive and well-tended gardens of adjoining Wivenhoe Historic House, where wedding receptions can be held. The chapel is located approximately two kilometres down the tree-lined driveway from the Mater Dei property entrance. Wheelchair access is provided.
